Visa Requirements - Australian Overseas Students

Australian Department of Immigration & Citizenship has classified all the countries in the world from assessment level 1 (Low risk) to assessment level 4 (high risk).

There is a visa subclass for every visa that is being issued by immigration. Visa requirements depend on your country of origin and the visa subclass that you are applying for.

In general students need to satisfy Department of immigration in 3 different aspects which would be less comprehensive for assessment levels 1 and 2 and more demanding for assessment levels 3 and 4.

Please note that a legal guardian may accompany students under the age of 18 and legal guardian needs to remain in Australia with the students and does not have a work permit. Dependant family may accompany the student and have a work permit.
